With the Doctor's assistance, the Reunion Movement and the Ursus Empire reached a peace treaty, and some of the previous unequal terms were abolished.
Despite his amnesia, the hooded man, relying on his wisdom, developed Chernobog into a city where both the Infected and uninfected people could coexist peacefully.
Of course, Xing Chen's assistance was indispensable, as many of his ideas were completely incomprehensible to the people of Terra.
As a bridge, he received advanced wisdom from the Pre-civilization, then diluted it with the mindset of Earth civilization, and finally conveyed it to Theresa and Alina.
Occasionally, he also had to undertake other tasks, such as persuading Talulah to use her special relationship with the Lungmen Governor to promote Chernobog's development.
"It's past midnight, time to rest, you two."
Theresa brought a plate of sliced fruit and placed it between the two people sitting face to face.
"Thanks," Xing Chen symbolically took a piece and put it in his mouth, while the Doctor opposite him was completely engrossed in his work.
Theresa brought the fruit platter over, aren't you going to acknowledge her at all?
The Demon Lord Girl, however, had no objections and watched the two with a smile.
Having two Doctors serving her at the same time was simply double the joy.
"Xing Chen, I think the proposal you submitted has a certain feasibility."
Finally, the Doctor looked up and glanced at the fruit platter. Seeing this, Xing Chen quickly pushed the plate in his direction.
"Thank you," the Doctor also symbolically took a piece. "Regarding your statement that 'human' blood has an inhibitory effect on Oripathy, based on this theory, a certain organ could be created to continuously synthesize and release our blood within the body of a Terra person, achieving the goal of inhibiting the development of Oripathy."
"Can you do it?" Xing Chen took back his proposal, on which four large characters were prominently written --- Gene Seed.
"I am not an expert in biological manufacturing, but given some time, I should be able to do it," the Doctor nodded and said to Xing Chen.
"So, you two mean that it's possible to prevent and treat Oripathy at a lower cost?"
Theresa excitedly grabbed both their hands. Xing Chen remained expressionless, and although the Doctor's expression couldn't be seen, he flinched --- it must have hurt quite a bit.
Previously, she had heard Xing Chen say that a cheap cure for Oripathy would not be available for another 500 years, but now with their collaboration, a new solution had emerged.
Solving Oripathy would have limited improvement for the current situation of the Sarkaz, but for Theresa, it was still a very meaningful thing.
"At least it's much cheaper than the common prevention and treatment methods currently used on Terra. Because the Gene Seed can theoretically be mass-produced through bio-industry, and a single implantation is effective for life. It's just that the research and development costs might be..."
"I'll go convince Talulah!" Theresa happily slapped the table, leaving a handprint on it.
Xing Chen heard a swallowing sound from the Doctor's side, possibly a new understanding of the power of Terra people.
Hopefully he won't give up eating for fear of choking, otherwise some people on Rhodes Island will be disappointed.
"Alright, work's done, you two should rest now." Saying this, she reached out to turn off the desk lamp.
"Wait a moment, Theresa, we still have work to deal with." Xing Chen gently pressed Theresa's hand down.
"You're leaving soon, so we two need to confirm all the work," the Doctor said, nodding, and incidentally moved the desk lamp away from Theresa's hand.
The Doctor and Xing Chen, like Theresa, were only temporarily accompanying the Reunion Movement.
In at least one year and at most two years, once Xing Chen and Theresa resolved the matters in Londinium, he would return to Rhodes Island.
Therefore, during this period, he needed to complete as much work as possible that required cooperation from the Ursus Empire and the Reunion Movement.
"You two, I said it's time to rest." Theresa knew they were busy, but she was still a little angry. Xing Chen's body on Terra was not a concern, but the Doctor's physical condition was not very good.
But she couldn't just care about the Doctor and ignore Xing Chen, so she could only pull both of them to rest together.
"It's only two o'clock, it's not late." For Xing Chen, staying up to write papers until the daily quests refreshed was a normal occurrence.
"Exactly, or how about this, you help me get a packet of instant noodles?" The Doctor also had a similar attitude to Xing Chen.
"Forget it, I'm not bothering with you two anymore, hmph!" Theresa feigned anger and walked towards the bedroom she shared with Xing Chen.
Seeing Theresa leave, the Doctor took out another one of Xing Chen's proposals, signaling Xing Chen to continue.
Xing Chen also moved his stool forward, ready to continue their work.
"Turn off the light! It's too loud!"
The Doctor and Xing Chen exchanged glances, then tacitly chuckled twice with a sense of helplessness.
For the next proposal, Xing Chen provided the Doctor with the technical details of Columbia's power armor and the Ursus shieldguard's armor, hoping he could combine the technologies of the two nations to design a combat system for the Sarkaz that would lead all other nations.
The Doctor carefully reviewed the reference materials and immediately had an idea in his mind, "Is the weapon system you want to create for astronauts?"
"Of course, you are from the Pre-civilization; your civilization can traverse the starry seas, so how can you be content to live your whole life on land, right?" In Xing Chen's plan, this weapon system possessed the ability to operate in vacuum and other extreme environments, while also augmenting the user's strength to equip better protection and firepower.
"Indeed, a weapon system designed for space combat can constitute a certain crushing advantage against ground civilizations," he said, flipping to a photo Xing Chen had taken in Tara. "Is this your concept for a warrior? Why are they only armored on their upper body?"
"Because they're poor."
...The next day, Theresa woke up and tidied the room.
The Doctor was asleep at the table, with a hot water kettle and instant noodle packaging next to him.
As for Xing Chen? He had stayed up all night.
After waking the Doctor, the three washed and dressed, then prepared to head to the top floor of the command tower to bid farewell to Talulah and the others.
"Talulah, we're leaving," Theresa came to the Draco's side and instructed her, "You must protect the Doctor well."
"I know, I'll have Yelena be his assistant." Talulah nodded solemnly to Theresa.
"Wait, if I'm the assistant, what about the Reunion Movement's armed forces?" Yelena asked.
"The Doctor will create a Sarkaz battle group called the Sons of Bozdcasti to replace the Yeti Squadron. Your Oripathy is too severe; it's necessary for you to rest and receive good treatment."
Yelena still wanted to struggle, but Patriot gently stroked her head, and eventually, she quieted down.
Then, Theresa took out a package containing a formal dress and handed it to the Doctor.
"Doctor, please help me delay Amiya and Kal'tsit, okay? The Sarkaz war is over for Rhodes Island, and I don't want them to step into dangerous situations again. This is something I need to resolve."
"Alright," the Doctor agreed to Theresa after a simple weighing of the pros and cons.
"Thank you, and this is a gift, please give it to Amiya for me."
The Doctor nodded.
Then, Xing Chen, Theresa, and Patriot walked towards the elevator leading directly to the mechanical layer, preparing to leave Ursus to end the civil war between the two kings and reshape the future of the Sarkaz.
Just as the elevator doors were about to close, the opposite elevator opened, and the figure of a mercenary appeared before everyone.
