A light barrier appeared out of nowhere in the outskirts of Londinium.
Several people in long dresses slowly emerged from the light barrier, followed by one transport truck after another.
When the last tall, antlered figure left the light barrier, the peculiar teleportation gate immediately vanished.
"Lama Lien, how do we get in?"
Looking at Londinium's towering city walls and the formidable city defense cannons on them, Theresa genuinely marveled that her brother had truly, with a group of ill-equipped soldiers, occupied the capital of Terra's strongest nation.
"Just go through the main gate. Theresis hasn't fully taken control of Londinium yet, so some external passages haven't been completely shut down."
Lama Lien's guards led the way, and the group advanced towards Londinium's main elevator.
The chassis of the towering mobile city blocked the sunlight, and the massive docking port hung high above their heads.
Terra's industrial production capacity was not low; the advantage of Originium material science allowed them to produce many awe-inspiring creations with relatively low technical skill.
With the construction technology of mobile cities, if a landmass were made fully enclosed and equipped with an ecological circulation system, wouldn't it essentially be a space colonization ship?
But how would they send them into space?
After advancing a distance along the tracks, a squad of Sarkaz soldiers appeared not far away.
"Stop, you..."
The leading soldier instinctively drew his weapon, but a tall, antlered figure slowly walked out.
"Wendigo... Bozdcasti, Sir..."
Lama Lien waved her hand, and a high-ranking Banshee also stepped out of the group and approached the patrolling soldiers.
"And the Death Knell Court..."
"We are the representative teams of the Death Knell Court and the Wendigo Court, preparing to go to the Military Commission to discuss matters with His Highness Theresis."
With two Royal Court members, one of whom was a Lord of the Royal Court, the matter of this convoy was beyond the scope of a Royal Court Army squad leader.
The patrol squad immediately stood to the side, clearing a path for the convoy.
All the Sarkaz dared not look directly at this group; in Sarkaz stories, Banshees were not as benevolent as their appearance suggested.
No one wanted to offend a member of the Death Knell Court out of momentary curiosity. What if these important sorcerers became displeased and casually cast a spell... "Tell your superior that the Wendigo Court and the Death Knell Court are preparing to go to the Military Commission and that they should prepare for a Royal Court meeting."
After Patriot informed the patrol of their purpose, he turned and returned to the convoy.
"Captain, I just seemed to see... in the convoy..." a patrol member said incredulously.
"How dare you... Did you see anything out of place?" The captain was about to scold the team member, but in the end, chose to give up.
"I think I saw Her Highness Theresa."
...Xing Chen helped Theresa adjust her cloak.
"You shouldn't have peeked out just now; it's not time for your official appearance yet."
"I know, I just wanted to see how my brother was doing in Londinium." Theresa pinched his heavily made-up face and said to Xing Chen with a smile, "The children's equipment is all new, so it seems brother's actions in the city are going smoothly."
"Oh, Xing Chen, you're overthinking it," Lama Lien turned to face Xing Chen and Theresa. "If Xiao Te shows her face a little earlier, it will make everyone question her death, and then when she makes her official appearance, there won't be as many doubts, right?"
"That seems to make sense. So, should we walk around the city a bit?" Xing Chen regretted asking as soon as he finished.
His long Banshee dress was already inconvenient for movement. It wasn't obvious while sitting in the car, but he would have to accompany Theresa all the way to the Military Commission's headquarters.
"Great! I just wanted to see if brother was doing what I asked in my letter." Theresa clapped her hands, and the matter was settled.
The convoy continued forward and soon arrived at the main elevator.
These super-large elevators were important channels for the mobile city's external communication. This once-bustling area now showed no signs of activity except for the Military Commission's garrison.
With a Banshee and a Wendigo present, the garrison allowed them to pass directly without questioning or inspection.
"I thought quite a few people would have fled Londinium."
After passing through the elevator and the peripheral areas, the convoy officially entered the inner city of Londinium.
Parading with a pile of nuclear missiles was clearly not a wise choice. So, Lama Lien had her guards take the weapons directly to the Military Commission ahead of them.
She, along with the Wendigo, Revenant, and Cyclops, would accompany Theresa for a brief tour of Londinium.
Except for Xing Chen, everyone agreed with this arrangement.
Londinium, occupied by the Sarkaz, had long lost its former hustle and bustle.
There weren't guards every five steps or sentries every ten, but an invisible sense of oppression constantly enveloped the streets.
"It feels pretty good, much better than the atmosphere in Kazdel." Theresa held Xing Chen's hand. On both sides of the street were shops with closed doors. Occasionally, someone would prepare to go out, but upon seeing a group of imposing Sarkaz, they would immediately close their doors.
"It seems we're still not very welcome." Theresa maintained her emotional perception ability at a lower intensity. Within her range, there was no fear or hatred like that of someone near death.
This was much better than expected.
"Xiao Te, if you think the environment in Kazdel isn't good, come to the River Valley for a few days. My sisters and I will treat you well."
"What about Xing Chen?"
"He can come too, but remember to wear a dress."
Compared to wearing a dress, Xing Chen was more concerned about whether his body could handle it.
"Theresa, I know a place where maybe someone is still active."
"Where?"
"It should be a bookstore, but the door might also be closed."
Lama Lien wrote a line of text in the air with a bone pen, and the spell immediately drifted in one direction.
Following the guidance, everyone soon arrived at a bookstore with its door tightly shut.
Theresa politely knocked on the door, and the only faint sound inside the room immediately ceased.
"Hello, is Miss Goldin there?" Xing Chen went up and knocked on the door, shouting inside.
"May I ask who this is...?"
The door opened a crack, and Xing Chen immediately inserted his toe into the gap.
The white-furred Feline on the other side wasn't having such a good time. Hearing someone call her name from outside, she opened the door to see three large Sarkaz and a robot.
At this point, the door was jammed and couldn't be closed.
"Hello," Theresa pried the door open with her hand and kindly asked, "We are from the Sarkaz Military Commission. May we come in and sit for a bit?"
"Ah," Goldin was startled by the immense force on the door, but the Sarkaz in front of her seemed different from the Sarkaz she used to see on the street.
"Yes, yes, please come in..."
