“I know right? I don’t really know what’s in their heads…” I said. “But if they have lived for so long, have strange powers, and even belong to a dangerous organization of ancient assassins, it’s better to not underestimate them… The Void Nightmare Sea though, is it here? I can’t see any ocean.”
“It’s probably even deeper,” Mark said. “As Morpheus said, this place is like… endless, right? Maybe you’ll need special magic or artifacts to reach such a place, and I don’t doubt that a group of sorcerers and assassins like those might have that…”
“Well, Olivia and SWORD are around the Domain, so it shouldn’t be possible for them to invade or break in forcefully, we’re safe for now,” I nodded.
“Yeah… I’m glad we made sure to take precautions,” Mark said. “The SWORD guys have been a real help, honestly, every time they come to help us I feel more indebted. We should do some work for them once we’re done here…”
“I was planning on going to hunt Hollows, it’s a Quest for the Domain actually,” I said, as I looked into the horizon. “Oh, what’s that?”
I noticed something weird again, it was a giant pizza…
Yes, a pizza, the size of a huge island, it floated very far away, and it had liked a gigantic ecosystem made out of pizza ingredients.
“O-Oh my god, is that a pizza island?!” Mark gasped. “Who the hell dreamed this? An Italian kid?”
“Hahah! I don’t know,” I giggled. “Imagine walking over that giant crust land, or the fiery and bubbling tomato sauce rivers… then wander over… Um, peperoni?”
“I bet weird pizza people or pizza ingredient people live in there… This place’s just insane and ridiculous,” laughed Mark.
“Yeah right?” I giggled. “But it just shows… that every dream we had, every imagination, everything became something here. It’s kind of amazing; don’t you think? Like when we were kids, and we had imaginary friends for example, or maybe we drew about fantasy worlds, all of these things might exist here, or existed at one point.”
“Right…” he nodded. “Yeah… I… I did had an imaginary friend.”
“Oh? Really?” I wondered.
“Ah it’s kind of embarrassing to talk about…” Mark blushed a bit.
“Come on tell me! And I’ll tell you mine!” I giggled.
“So you had one too?!” He asked.
“Yeah! But I kind of only half believed it was real…” I shrugged.
“Hmm, well, mine was… it was… it was dumb,” he muttered. “It was… Eh, kind of like a dinosaur, a giant dinosaur I imagined riding.”
“Oh really? That’s not bad,” I said. “Did it have a name?”
“Saurus… or something like that? Can’t recall,” he muttered. “Haha, stupid right?”
“I mean, you were a kid! Did you like Jurassic Movies or something?” I wondered.
“Yeah! I really liked dinosaurs back then,” he said. “I kind of lost that obsession as I grew older though. Now that I think about it, there’s like a dinosaur race in BNLO right?”
“I think there are reptilians for race selection,” I said. “I don’t know if they’re exactly dinosaurs, but they could become dinos if they evolved into a certain path? Who knows. Well there’s Draconian people.”
“Right, like that one dragon crafter guy,” nodded Mark. “I remember he was kind of infatuated by you or something? What’s up with that?”
“Hahaha! I think it’s because I am kind of a reptile now, being a dragon and all but don’t worry about that! Nothing would ever happen either way,” I giggled. “Don’t be a dummy.”
“I-I know, I was just asking…” He blushed lightly, holding my hands. “Um, so is the baby alright?”
“Yeah, it’s a strong baby,” I caressed my belly. “It’ll be fine either way.”
“Well, that’s a relief…” He sighed, nodding. “Ah right, what was your imaginary friend though?”
“Oh, mine? It was like… I think it was a doll? A ballerina doll,” I said. “I imagined it that way… At some point in my childhood I really wanted to be a ballet dancer for some dumb reason, I even went to take classes and absolutely sucked. Eventually I just dropped it. That doll was always there for me to teach me how to dance and was a friend to playhouse… but I always kind of knew that it was dumb to have imaginary friends because they weren’t really real… I was just being weird, and I stopped thinking about her.”
“I guess I’m the same then, kind of sad but I guess it is how it is,” Mark said. “Did she have a name?”
“Just… Ballerina,” I smiled lightly. “A-Ah, I have never talked with someone about this, not even Rita knows this stuff…”
“I guess we can keep it as our little secret,” he winked at me. “You know about the giant dinosaur I used to imagine too so we’re even.”
“Y-Yeah, hehe…” I giggled, feeling embarrassed. “I wonder… are they real? Do they exist here?”
“Aaah… I… don’t really have any idea,” Mark said. “But it’s such a huge place, and we just saw an island-sized pizza, so maybe just about anything is possible.”
“I hope so…” I nodded with a smile. “I want it to be real…”
“Why?” He wondered.
“Maybe to prove myself wrong… all of the magic we believed as kids is real after all, maybe a lot of legends too, cryptic, fairies, fairy tales, hell, we’re in the dream plane! Would have anybody ever imagined this was all real?” I wondered.
“I guess not… not even me, I was really just… shocked myself,” Mark said. “It’s just hard to imagine or even process these things sometimes… but yeah. Now with the First Contact, everyone will come to learn of these things eventually, it will no longer be hidden to the public…”
“I wonder what people will do then; will they rejoice? Will they rage and get angry everything is actually real? Could they perhaps become upset?” I wondered. “I guess they’re already just processing monsters exist now and there’s people with superpowers out there… but our society remains the same, even when things like this happen.”
