From Blood Mage To Patriarch Of Styx

Chapter 12: Namo Gatling Bodhisattva

“Where’s that smile? You weren’t making that face when you were sacrificing the children of commoners.”

Mo Di gripped the old man’s fist, squeezing harder and harder, making his bones creak.

“Forget it, there’s nothing to discuss with someone like you. If you won’t smile, I will.”

A tremendous force crushed the old man’s hand bones, scrunching his wrinkled face into a ball.

In contrast, Mo Di’s face was beaming with a brilliant smile.

“They’re just commoners, what’s there to feel sorry about?!”

Pain fueled the old man’s anger, and anger... changed nothing, only causing him to lose all reason and blurt out words without thinking.

And this made Mo Di’s smile vanish instantly.

“Commoners, always commoners. Sometimes I truly hate that word.”

The hand gripping the old man’s fist paused for a moment, then suddenly surged with even greater strength, pulling and dragging the old man’s arm outwards.

An unknown chill also spread up that arm, and within two or three seconds, the arm became numb.

With a 'crack', the old man’s entire right arm was torn off, and ice shards scattered all over the floor.

“Hmph ah ah ah ah!!”

Witnessing the loss of his own arm, the old man’s anger was replaced by terror.

This tall, dark figure before him, he wasn’t human, he was definitely not human!

Using the moonlight streaming through the window, the old man barely made out Mo Di’s face, and in an instant, an even stronger fear clutched his heart.

Like a hungry wolf seizing its prey.

Under the moonlight, what appeared before his eyes was a tall, horned monster, with a skull resembling a moose exposed, topped with branching antlers.

Its crimson eyes stared fixedly at him, revealing a hint of predatory intent.

“Your Martial Dao Heart is not firm.”

Mo Di chuckled softly, the evil magic flowing through the Wendigo Bloodline taking effect, stirring and amplifying the fear of everyone present.

Whether it was the old man with a severed arm, the trembling middle-aged man behind him who dared not shoot, or Long Yutian who had just arrived, their gazes towards him all carried a degree of trepidation.

Among them, Long Yutian’s fear was the least, as his Martial Dao Heart had only recently been awakened.

“You, what kind of monster are you?” the old man asked with a trembling voice.

“Monster? I’m a living, breathing human.”

He was just wearing a Wendigo skull and a Wendigo pelt, so why was he being called a monster?

Mo Di forced a gentle smile, then suddenly exerted force with the hand gripping Xu Hongzhi’s neck, snapping it.

The young man’s corpse, with a withered arm impaled in him, fell to the ground. Both the old man and the middle-aged man showed expressions of utter grief.

“You are in the Xiantian Realm, aren’t you?” the old man suddenly spoke, “A dignified Xiantian Realm expert, why are you willing to work for the Ling Family? No matter what the Ling Family offered, our Xu Family can give you double.”

“Before asking that, why didn’t you consider what you yourselves did?”

Mo Di’s fist pierced through the old man’s chest, crushing his heart.

Wisps of blood mist clung to Mo Di’s arm, gathering on his body, replenishing the blood energy consumed in the fight.

After the old man drew his last breath, Mo Di turned and walked towards the middle-aged man, disarming him before he could gather the courage to shoot.

“Just for those commoners, a dignified Xiantian Realm expert is willing to work for the Ling Family to deal with our Xu Family?”

The middle-aged man finally understood, asking with resentment.

Mo Di’s fist was his answer.

Punching through the middle-aged man’s abdomen, Mo Di sneered, “Just? Do you think your life is more valuable than others’?”

At death’s door, and he was still using the word “commoners” in front of him, a word he loathed. It seemed he wanted to be tortured before he died.

Coincidentally, as a Blood Mage, he knew many ways to torture people.

Blood flames ignited within the middle-aged man, causing him to scream incessantly.

“You like blood sacrifices so much? I’ll let you taste what it’s like to be sacrificed.”

Within a few breaths, the blood flames consumed the middle-aged man’s entire body, and his screams and pleas for mercy gradually weakened.

When the sounds completely ceased, all his flesh and blood had been burned away, leaving only a mummified corpse with a pained expression.

“Let’s go, it’s time to deal with the last enemy.”

Mo Di stepped forward, Long Yutian followed closely, silent.

Behind them, the old man’s corpse suddenly dissolved into a blood mist, drifting to an unknown destination.

The bloodstained book gave feedback of one more page collected: 【Post-Heaven Three Realms - Martial Artist - Xu Yuantu】.

Voices also continuously came through the earpiece from the others, indicating that the entire manor was already under their control.

Except for the basement, which served as the ritual site.

“Teacher, you said that since they are all human, why do these people not treat commoners as humans?” Long Yutian broke the silence.

Since coming down the mountain, he had seen many such arrogant scions of aristocratic families; they were often the targets of his show-off and face-slapping.

He could never agree with their ideology. Fortunately, his childhood friend Ling Qinghan, and her father, never used the term “commoners.”

They were considered rare normal people among the aristocratic scions.

“Where there are people, it’s easy to divide them into different classes,” Mo Di shrugged, “especially in this world with an extremely distorted system.”

“In the future, this situation is likely to become even more extreme, unless...”

“Unless what?” Long Yutian asked.

“Unless you can, by yourself, blow up all the aristocratic families and conglomerates in the world,” Mo Di said half-jokingly, “but that might also lead to another extreme.”

Long Yutian nodded, deep in thought.

The entrance to the basement had been sealed. When the two arrived, the soldiers responsible for the blockade immediately reported the situation to them.

“The advance team has entered, but they have been out of contact ever since. It’s likely they met with disaster.”

“You all keep the manor sealed, and leave the rest to us.”

Aether Vision told Mo Di that the evil sorceress was still in the basement. Perhaps because she had just sacrificed a team of people, the aether there was fluctuating significantly.

As soon as they stepped into the basement, a chilling sensation crawled up both their spines.

Baby cries mixed with inhuman roars came from the depths. Mo Di couldn’t tell if it was a sound from the material world or an echo from the Aether Plane.

“Such a strong curse. They’ve probably performed many blood sacrifices here.”

Seeing the corpses kneeling on the ground ahead, Long Yutian went to investigate and was surprised to find that their faces were so blurred that their true features were indistinguishable, perforated like bloody sieves.

“They were afflicted by a curse and head-butted themselves to death,” Mo Di concluded after a glance.

He couldn’t save the dead, but at least he could save the baby that hadn’t been sacrificed yet.

Mo Di stopped, gazing at the alluring woman at the center of the magic circle, his eyes fixed on the baby she held.

“Evil sorceress,” he declared, “which evil demon is behind you?”

The evil sorceress shook her head, put down the baby she was holding, and pressed the backs of her hands together, making a strange gesture.

“Huofo Xiu...”

“Shut up!” Mo Di snapped, “Do you think I don’t know you’re spreading a curse?”

Her words interrupted, the evil sorceress showed a hint of helplessness on her face.

“Sirs, I don’t believe we have any enmity, do we? If not for the Xu Family’s coercion, I wouldn’t have done such things for them.

Now that the Xu Family has been dealt with by you, why don’t we both take a step back? Let me leave, or I could work for your Ling Family, how about that?”

“It seems you’re the same kind of person as them,” Mo Di didn’t expect her to be normal, “Since that’s the case, we have nothing to discuss.”

The final word “discuss” had barely left his lips when the evil sorceress snatched up the baby from the ground, and with her other hand, produced a dagger, aiming to stab it into the baby’s heart.

Blood energy surged, forming a blood claw that covered the baby’s entire body, blocking the dagger’s thrust.

Then it grabbed the baby, forcefully taking him from the evil sorceress’s hand.

Receiving the baby snatched by the blood claw, Mo Di smoothly handed him into Long Yutian’s arms.

The latter held the baby and retreated out of the basement.

“Trying to leave?” The evil sorceress was enraged at this point. She made a hand seal, and the curse permeating the basement came alive.

The corpses of the advance team, who had head-butted themselves to death, all stood up, blocking Long Yutian’s path, rushing at him like zombies.

They were all at least Post-Heaven One Realm martial artists in life, moving like specters, clearly not to be trifled with.

“Bang bang bang!”

After a few gunshots, the heads of the rushing corpses all exploded.

Long Yutian lowered the large-caliber pistol in his hand, a classic of the infinite stream genre, and smirked.

“What era is this? Do you really think martial artist zombies can withstand bullets?”

The evil sorceress’s expression froze. Having been immersed in evil magic for too long, she had indeed forgotten this detail.

She also hadn’t expected there to be someone even more outrageous than Long Yutian present.

Mo Di reached behind his back and took out the ferocious object he had hidden beneath his black robe.

The evil sorceress stared intently, her heart instantly filled with terror, her finger trembling as she pointed at the dark object.

“You, you, this...”

“This item is the enlightened artifact of the Great Compassionate Namo Gatling Bodhisattva, a rare holy artifact for expelling evil,” Mo Di said solemnly, “Today, it shall bestow upon you your fated death.”

Although strictly speaking, this item was listed as a prohibited item for commercial warfare by various aristocratic families and conglomerates, as the saying goes, if it’s not discovered, it’s as good as not existing.

As long as he killed this sole witness, no one would ever find out about this matter.

“Say goodbye to your sect master!”

Mo Di grinned menacingly, brandishing the evil-expelling holy artifact, the Gatling, intending to shoot the evil sorceress into a sieve.

Flashes of fire erupted, and bullets soaked in his blood shot out, trailing crimson afterburners as they pierced the target’s fragile flesh.

It must be said, the Gatling had significant recoil, but Mo Di, relying on his powerful physical constitution, managed to keep it perfectly steady.

“Puff puff puff—”

The sound of bullets tearing through flesh was continuous, but this was not its full effect.

Blood flames ignited on the evil sorceress’s riddled body, instantly consuming her entire being. This was an additional effect from the bullets being soaked in Mo Di’s blood.

“If nothing goes wrong, there should... still be a second phase.”

Putting down the Gatling, Mo Di looked at the unrecognizable pile of rotten meat , and suddenly felt a slight trepidation.
