Xiao Chuxia also felt like she was not deserving of Yu Fei; she had promised him nothing but happiness, and yet she had left him to become like this.

Yu Yue sat down on the chair, but she didn’t calm down. Her expression was blank, and her eyes were looking at Yu Fei as if she were looking at a ghost.

“You don’t know it, Dong Dong,” Yu Yue looked at her brother who was lying on the bed and sniffed loudly. “Fei’er has always been scared of pain. Every time he was pricked by a needle he would cry and cry for hours. He was always a delicate child, I can’t even think of how scared he must have been when he was pushed inside the pit and left to suffocate with a bleeding head and broken leg. How would he have dragged himself up again and again?”

Yu Yue broke off and started crying. Seeing her like this Yu Dong had no idea what to say to her. What could she even tell Yu Yue?

Yu Yue cursed Xiao Chuxia.

“What?” Yu Yue turned to look at Wu Junfen.

Even Yu Dong turned to look at Wu Junfen as if she had lost her mind. However, Wu Junfen didn’t think that she had done anything wrong. In a way, Xiao Chuxia was also a victim and her life force was not too great either, it was just that Zhou Ziming was enchanted by her face and thus refused to let her die.
