Unlike a normal town, the Wolf's Nest, a mountain stronghold, was constructed with a variety of Materials for its overall framework and basic structure.
There were wooden and bamboo Materials, rock and cement, and even tin, steel, and even animal hides and human bones.
So, at a glance, the entire Wolf's Nest gave off an extremely complex and chaotic impression, yet it subtly pulsed with wild vitality.
Perhaps only unrestrained bandits and marauders could create such a twisted architectural cluster.
However, no matter how twisted or chaotic, as a large stronghold, the Wolf's Nest would inevitably have guards at its gates, constantly vigilant for any potential enemies.
...
“Old He, what are you looking at with that telescope?”
On the gate tower of the outer wall of the Wolf's Nest, a tall, thin bandit asked another short, stout companion, “Did you see anything?”
“Wolves and wild boars,” the short, stout bandit replied, holding a crude telescope and staring intently at the distant mountain ranges, “Just no people.”
“Nonsense.” The tall, thin bandit chuckled, “Does anyone dare to come here?”
“That’s true.” The stout bandit grinned, then prepared to put away the telescope after one more look.
But in that one glance, he saw a person flying rapidly and directly from among the distant mountain peaks, and at an astonishing speed.
“Someone!”
The stout bandit quickly put down the telescope and shouted at the thin bandit, “Someone’s flying over from those mountains, he’s flying!”
After saying that, he quickly climbed down the gate tower to report.
But the thin bandit was somewhat disbelieving: “Someone flying out of the mountains? Is that true or false?”
Immediately, he also took out a telescope from his pocket and squinted at the distant mountains.
However, he saw nothing but a few birds flying by.
Then the thin bandit looked back and forth several times, but found no abnormalities, so he cursed and put away the telescope:
“Damn it, Old He must have eaten too much and is having hallucinations, there’s nothing here.”
After a while longer, Old He climbed back up the ladder to the gate tower, bringing with him a middle-aged bandit.
But this old bandit, who was clearly the superior of the two bandits, also saw nothing after scanning with the telescope.
It was as if the figure Old He had seen from afar earlier was merely a hallucination.
But in fact, this was not a hallucination.
The truth was that the figure flying from among the mountains—Li Hai—had already transformed into an invisible ghost and traversed a long distance, arriving directly above the entire Wolf's Nest.
Whoosh—
High above, the invisible and intangible Li Hai suddenly transformed from a ghost back into a person, adjusted his body angle, and then stomped on the air, plummeting downwards.
Whoosh~ Whoosh~ Whoosh~
His speed became faster and faster, and the scenery within the Wolf's Nest stronghold became increasingly clear in Li Hai’s vision.
Finally, a towering gate tower rapidly entered his field of view.
There, coincidentally, were three Black Wolf bandits, mouths agape, heads raised, staring blankly at Li Hai.
Whoosh~
A figure streaked past.
Li Hai, plummeting down, landed heavily on the stout bandit’s large face.
Boom!
With a loud bang, the stout bandit’s entire body was instantly crushed from head to toe by Li Hai, transforming into large splatters of blood and flesh pulp in all directions.
As a result, the other two bandits were almost simultaneously turned into piles of mangled flesh by the massive wave of blood and flesh fragments that exploded directly onto their faces.
And this towering gate tower also collapsed with a roar under Li Hai's attack, turning into a pile of rubble.
Such a massive commotion naturally quickly attracted a large number of bandits to investigate.
“What’s going on?”
“Don’t know, the tower just collapsed.”
“Maybe the tower wasn’t sturdy.”
“Who knows.”
These bandits were discussing loudly as they quickly walked over from all directions.
But just as they approached the gate tower ruins, which were surrounded by rolling dust, a crimson whip shadow rapidly lashed out from the dusty ruins, instantly sweeping in all directions.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Under a series of explosions, these bandits were instantly blown into pools of blood and flesh pulp by the swiftly passing crimson whip shadow.
“Someone’s dead!”
“What the hell is going on?!”
“You saw that red shadow just now, didn’t you?”
“Yes, it was like a whip, it just blew people apart.”
“Quick, retreat, don’t go over there!”
This extremely bloody scene instantly scared the bandits in the more distant surrounding areas, causing them to retreat repeatedly, not daring to approach further.
Thus, after completing his initial, shocking kill, Li Hai leisurely walked out from the gate tower ruins, appearing in the terrified and confused gazes of the hundreds of bandits around him.
“Hm?”
Upon seeing these bandits, armed with knives and blades, surrounding him from a distance, Li Hai immediately frowned and coldly rebuked, “You saw me and still didn’t run? You want to die, don’t you? Alright, I’ll grant your wish.”
With that, his figure flickered, instantly crossing dozens of meters to fly into the crowd of bandits, and while simultaneously trampling another unfortunate soul to death, he waved his hand, conjuring dozens of crimson whip shadows that swiftly enveloped all directions.
Thus, amidst continuous sounds of flesh tearing and bones exploding, all bandits within a radius of dozens of meters around Li Hai were simultaneously cleared out, all of them blasted into piles of bleeding, mangled flesh.
“Ah ah ah!”
“It’s a master! Retreat, ah ah!”
“Run! Run!”
“Help! Help!”
Upon witnessing this bloody scene again, the terrified bandits instantly shuddered, and immediately used all their might to frantically flee in all directions.
But how could Li Hai let them go?
He immediately shook the steel whip in his hand and rushed like lightning towards the densest concentration of bandits, beginning a massive slaughter.
Thus, in broad daylight, a bizarre scene unfolded within the Wolf's Nest.
One by one, the burly, vicious-looking bandits were actually so intimidated by Li Hai alone that they cried and howled, running aimlessly, like a large flock of sheep suddenly encountering a lion, scattering frantically in all directions.
During this time, it wasn't that no one dared to fight back; there were indeed some.
But facing Li Hai, whose figure constantly flickered and moved with the swiftness and agility of a frame-dropping animation, all bullets, darts, and arrows simply could not hit him, not even once.
Conversely, every single attack by Li Hai inflicted immense damage upon the bandits of the Wolf's Nest.
With one flick of his two crimson steel whips, he would kill a large group of people; with another sweep, he would explode another pile of bandits.
Thus, in a short amount of time, the main streets and alleys of the Wolf's Nest were littered by Li Hai with large, haphazardly piled heaps of broken limbs and vast, freely flowing pools of crimson blood.
At the same time, the inherent ferocity within Li Hai was also stimulated by this bloody scene, so his killing speed and power became increasingly fast and strong, eventually unleashed without reservation, at full force.
