Chapter 1251 The Paper-man's Purpose: True Resurrection...
Chris was noncommittal.
Because no one truly understands the nature of consciousness.
Such words are merely self-consolation.
However, this also indirectly illustrates the differences between the two Civilizations.
Currently, Human Civilization believes the universe is infinite, both macroscopically and microscopically.
The Planck scale was merely the smallest scale calculated by the original Human Civilization, or rather, the smallest scale with physical meaning.
Scales below this had little to do with physics.
But the limitations of physics themselves are man-made; with expanded research, humanity has at least calculated some things at a very microscopic level that affect existing physical laws.
Those things can no longer be observed and can only be calculated using mathematical tools.
Perhaps with further progress, Civilization can transcend the boundaries of large and small, allowing Civilization to cross over and understand everything.
The Civilization Chris is now in contact with believes that the White Vortex possesses the means of revival, which is equivalent to asserting that the universe is finite.
Not only is matter finite, but rules are also finite.
Consciousness can be revived; this is a possibility that only exists under finite rules.
Because it is an affirmative statement, when something is affirmed, it must be a truth. However, on a scientific scale, at least on the scientific scale of humanity, truth does not exist.
Science is the process of seeking truth, just as theology is the process of seeking God.
Only when truth does not exist does science have meaning; only when God does not exist can theology shine brightly.
In a world where God exists, theology is inevitably confined, because God possesses His own divinity, and followers of a particular God must conform to their God. But if there is no God, everything can be quite flexible and variable.
The same is true for science; in a world with truth, science transforms from infinite to finite, losing its 'possibility'.
“What, you don’t intend to revive her?” The Paper-man saw Chris's indifference.
“Everyone has their own destiny; dead means dead.”
“What a heartless Human.”
The Paper-man did not continue to persuade. The area damaged by the White Vortex was recovering at a visible speed.
“Everything I said just now is true. You can collect information about us, everything within the Nuclear Sphere.”
“Don’t think I’m being kind. As a Three-Dimensional competition zone, Human Civilization will inevitably trigger wars. If you can get more information, it will be a blow to the Civilizations inside the Three-Dimensional Nuclear Sphere and outside the system.”
“This is more beneficial than harmful for us in six dimensions.”
He emphasized this again, apparently genuinely wanting Chris to obtain some information.
“Is that why you didn’t kill us?”
After all, he certainly didn’t know about the White Vortex at first, but still spared their lives.
“That’s right, I can guarantee that you can return to your Civilization.”
“Actually, I’m more afraid that you won’t be able to go back. From Lu Li'an’s memory, your original goal was not six dimensions at all, but Four-Dimensional.”
“It’s just that there was a problem with the dimension crossing, which led you to six dimensions.”
“The people above you deceived you, but they can’t deceive me.”
What?
Chris’s heart trembled.
So that was the truth.
Then, they can’t go back?
To stay in six dimensions forever?
In his thoughts, Human Civilization did not have the means to cross dimensions.
But the Paper-man seemed to understand Human Civilization better than him.
“You don’t have to be discouraged. Human Civilization’s research on dimension is not weak, or rather, it has entered a relatively leading position.”
“Even within the Nuclear Sphere, it’s probably not at the bottom.”
“Before you, I had already seen some of your Human Civilization’s little guys, they are Zerg. Since the Zerg can come here, then Human Civilization must control the means to traverse multiple dimensions.”
This was good news.
“What about you? What do you want?”
Chris didn’t believe the Paper-man had no purpose.
“Haha, I’ve already said it, as long as the Three-Dimensional is in chaos, that’s what I want.”
