The Lord Of The Rings: Lords Of Middle-Earth

Chapter 267: Battle of Natural Disaster (End)

"Can it be repaired?" Roland asked the busy ranger while pulling the delicate bowstring.

"Of course! The environment here is dry enough! The things are well preserved!" The rangers of Lordaeron gathered around the dwarven spear launcher, inspecting and repairing it while stringing and adjusting the bow.

"Calibrate carefully! We only have one arrow, and I don't want it to go astray!" Roland said solemnly.

"Now there are four!" A team of royal guards came over covered in dust, but the things they held in their hands made everyone's eyes light up.

"Beautiful!" Roland did not hide the excitement in his eyes at all.

"Okay! What we should do now is to find another spear launcher! And repair it!" Balin was extremely excited as he looked at the four black arrows shining with cold light. He said to the dwarves behind him with trembling beard.

"Hmph~Hmph~" After a while, everyone dug out a spear launcher that was almost broken into parts from some corner.

"..." Roland's mouth dropped open, his eyes wide. He pointed at the thing in front of him. His poor brain had no idea how this thing was supposed to fire a black arrow. Shoot it backwards?

"Your Highness, the main body of this thing is still intact! It can be repaired! And don't look at it as if it is completely damaged, in fact, all the parts have been shaken apart! We can repair it in a while!" Balin patted his chest and said confidently.

"This..." Balin fell silent as he looked at the spear launcher in front of him that had just been wound up and parts were flying everywhere.

"How about... we look for it again?" Balin's face turned red with embarrassment. How confident he had been in his promise was how embarrassing it was now!

"Ahem, I think it's OK!" Roland turned his head away, feeling extremely embarrassed. Damn it! He shouldn't have held out hope for this thing! When he saw Balin and the others quickly assemble and repair it, he couldn't help but admire the dwarf's craftsmanship! Who would have thought... the sound of the winding being followed by a teeth-grinding creaking sound, and then "pop!" The scattered parts even bounced off Roland's breastplate, as if mocking his presumptuous expedition.

"Speed up! They are still waiting for us!" Roland sighed as he felt the slight tremor under his feet.

"Oh! Dragon God! Where did His Highness and the others go?" Caslo looked anxiously at the entrance in the distance.

"Don't be anxious! Hold back the Fire Demon! His Highness never lets us down!" Omsk shook his head. He could only comfort himself and Kaslo in this way. After watching the Storm Dragon Cardo's increasingly slow movements, his eyebrows slowly twisted together.

"Your dragon is showing signs of weakness!" Omsk said solemnly, looking at the battle situation.

"What a damn world! Why didn't the coalition forces kill this thing back then?" Caslo roared as he felt his fighting spirit running out.

"The coalition forces? They won't go to war for a stray dog!" Omsk shook his head.

"We have to do something! Cardo can't hold on any longer!" Kaslo looked at his dragon, and their minds were connected, allowing both sides to communicate their thoughts freely.

"My knight!" Cardo weakly used his mental power to transmit the message.

"Carl, hold on! You are of the Wind Dragon clan! The blood of the Storm Dragon flows in your body! You are a proud dragon! You are no longer the flying dragon of the past! You have successfully advanced to become a giant dragon! Nothing in this world can stop you! Hold on! Carl! The King is coming!" Kaslo communicated with Carl through his mind. He could clearly feel Carl's decline! How could a young dragon be a match for a cunning and battle-hardened Fire Demon? His powerful dragon bloodline only gave him the capital to stubbornly resist the Fire Demon. When his dragon power gradually became insufficient, that was the moment of his defeat.

"I will do my best! My knight! If things are impossible, please leave here! If possible, please take my people with you... Go to Dragon Island! Tell our elders everything here! They will avenge me!" Cardo responded, but there was not much hope in his tone, but the madness hidden in his bones tore open the curtain bit by bit.

"Roar!" The dragon head, biting into the Balrog's neck, ignored the slashing blows of the Balrog's flaming sword! Even as dragon scales splattered and blood flowed across the ground, he continued to fulfill his duty! Loyal to the Dragon Rider's contract, protecting his knight! At this moment, he wasn't fighting for Lagrande, not for Roland, but for his own knight! The glory of the Dragon Rider was on the line! Charge!

"Madman!" After paying the price of half his neck being a bloody mess, the Fire Demon finally shook off the equally wounded Kaldor. At this moment, the Storm Dragon had lost all its former dignity and dominance. Like a defeated dog with bloodshot eyes, it launched suicidal attacks at the Fire Demon over and over again!

This precisely made the Balrog extremely fearful. He only wanted to drive out and kill these invaders, not to fight a bloodthirsty dragon. The Balrog's eyes revealed a wise contempt. He knew that as long as he could hold out a little longer, victory would naturally belong to him! The dragon was already exhausted!

While carefully blocking Cardo's attacks, he continued to bleed Cardo. This fire demon had insidiousness engraved in his bones. Cardo soon felt obviously weak under its rhythm!

"Ang!" An angry dragon roar sounded, and the thick and long dragon tail hit the fire demon, making him stagger.

"Go! My knights! Take the elven dragons! Leave here! Tell the elders... avenge me! The dignity of the dragon race cannot be trampled upon!" Cardo roared out these words, and then his whole body ignited with blue flames! That was his essence! He was burning his own life to gain strength!

"This farce should end..." Cardo looked coldly at the complacent Fire Demon in front of him and suddenly laughed.

"You don't even realize you're about to die!" Cardo sneered.

"You lost! What gives you the right to kill me?" The Flame Demon's voice was hoarse and harsh, like broken iron sheets rubbing against concrete.

"The one who killed you was not me! It was the dragon clan!" Cardo sneered.

The Balrog's expression shifted as if a thought had struck him. He abruptly shook off Kaldor and sped towards the abyss. A scene from a thousand years ago suddenly surfaced in his memory: a ferocious silver dragon ripped apart the sky and earth, and the dragon rider, brandishing his dragon spear, descended like a god! That day, in the unknown north, five Balrogs, intent on marching south to join the battle, fell asleep alongside the dragon and its rider! The repression inherited in his bloodline once again awakened the Balrog's memories and fears.

"Don't leave! Stay! Kong Yu Jing Tian!" Cardo's entire body was surging with cyan dragon power. He was about to unleash one of the Storm Dragon's few divine forbidden spells! A forbidden spell that could seal off an entire space! He would use his life to imprison this fire demon, leaving it for the future generations of the dragon clan to judge!

"Stop!" Suddenly, a black light flashed past Cardo's body and disappeared into the belly of the Flame Demon! At that moment, Cardo felt a surge of ghosts!

"Ah!" The Fire Demon screamed miserably, but at this moment, because the divine forbidden spell slowly began to take effect, the Fire Demon's dodging movements were as slow as a snail.

"Kardo! Stop!" Kaslo almost cried with joy! His Highness is back.

"Black Arrow?" Cardo immediately pulled away from the Balrog and stopped burning his own life force. Naturally, the divine forbidden spell subsided. Cardo's eyes were filled with fear after recognizing the Black Arrow. This thing was originally used to slay dragons!

"Puff!" Another black arrow shot out, but this time it was incredibly tricky! It successfully hit the Balrog's knee! Coupled with Cardo's wind element blockade, the Balrog was already trapped.

"Roar!" The chains made of wind elements once again bound the injured fire demon, and this time it could no longer break free!
