On account of Chen Yu bringing the 'fireworks', Vernon Dursley finally allowed Chen Yu into the house to sit.
Harley, also called by her Uncle Vernon Dursley, pushed open the door of the second-floor guest bedroom and walked downstairs, looking puzzled.
Given The Dursley Family's usual behavior, if she made a mistake, they would rather have her stay in her room for an entire day, not allowed to come out, pretending she didn't exist in the room, and certainly wouldn't call her down.
Classmate?
Which classmate?
A classmate from Hogwarts?
Didn't Uncle Vernon hate wizards the most?
Why would he let her come down if a classmate from Hogwarts came to see her?
Logically speaking, shouldn't Uncle Vernon have 'kicked' them out immediately, warning them not to step a foot into the house?
Why was today so abnormal? Had the sun risen from the west?
With a puzzled heart, Harley followed the stairs down to the living room.
Seeing the familiar Little Wizards with black hair and black eyes, Harley was exceptionally happy: "Chen Yu, why are you here? Didn't you say you were going to America for the holidays?"
"I'm leaving in a few days. Today, I just felt inspired and wanted to set off fireworks with you!"
Chen Yu patted the gift box of fireworks on the table, giving his excuse for being there.
Harley's gaze shifted to the fireworks gift box on the table: "But... we're not allowed to set off fireworks on the street here..."
Not allowed?
"Well, it looks like we can't play then."
Chen Yu shrugged. Anyway, this was just an excuse to find Harry; whether they could actually set off fireworks didn't matter.
Looking at the maid outfit Harley was still wearing, he gave a thumbs-up and praised: "Great outfit, it would definitely turn heads if you wore it at school."
Vernon Dursley watched Chen Yu and Harley chat uncomfortably. Seeing that Chen Yu's attention was no longer on him, he told Harley to keep Chen Yu company and quickly left the living room, preparing to discuss with Petunia what they should do now.
Once Vernon Dursley left the living room, Harley breathed a sigh of relief, appearing much more relaxed.
Harley heard Chen Yu's teasing and blushed a little, but something else interested her more: "Chen Yu, how did you get Uncle Vernon to let you in? He hates anything related to magic the most."
Chen Yu retorted: "If he hates the magical world so much, then how did you receive your Hogwarts acceptance letter?"
Harley thought of the many measures Uncle Vernon had taken to prevent her from receiving her Hogwarts acceptance letter.
First, he tore up and burned all the letters, then lay in a sleeping bag by the front door, not allowing her to privately get mail from the mailbox.
When more and more letters arrived, even covering the floor, Uncle Vernon made everyone hide in the suburbs. When they found that letters still came, he even risked danger by hiding at sea. It was pouring rain at the time, and Uncle Vernon believed no one would deliver mail in such weather.
Harley also thought no one would deliver mail to her in such extreme weather, but unexpectedly, the exceptionally tall Hagrid rode the wind and waves to deliver her letter. When he pushed open the door, Vernon, Petunia, and Dudley were all terrified.
At that time, Vernon pulled out a gun from the sofa, ready to fight back, but Hagrid snatched it, bent it lightly, and tied a knot in the barrel. This finally scared Uncle Vernon, allowing Hagrid to deliver the Hogwarts acceptance letter and a box of sticky chocolate cake to her.
Harley still remembered the cake with "Happy Birthday Harry" written crookedly in green icing.
Harley recounted how Hagrid had delivered her letter.
"Right, I'm pretty much the same. I just 'flexed my muscles' a bit, making Dursley have to talk to me calmly."
Chen Yu bent his right arm and patted his biceps with his left hand, indicating that he was very strong.
Thinking about what Chen Yu had done at Hogwarts School this semester, Harley knew he wouldn't be the kind of person who could be threatened by her uncle.
Although Chen Yu didn't say it directly, Harley immediately understood that Chen Yu had probably used some means, just like Hagrid, to make her Uncle Vernon submit.
Harley was also very happy about Chen Yu's arrival. Having someone to talk to was better than being alone in the guest bedroom.
"Come, let's have some snacks and chat."
Chen Yu snapped his fingers, and the living room table was instantly filled with magical snacks.
It was still the same few magical snacks: bertie bott's every flavor beans, fizzing whizbees, chocolate frog, Exploding Bonbons, licorice wands, cauldron cakes, fizzing whizbees, and butterbeer.
Harley didn't stand on ceremony, grabbing a cauldron cake and stuffing it into her mouth.
This was filling and would keep hunger at bay.
Even if Chen Yu left after a while and Aunt Petunia punished her by not allowing lunch, these few cakes would keep her from feeling hungry.
A bite of cake, a sip of butterbeer, the two chatted easily in The Dursley Family's living room.
After a while, Aunt Petunia came out. She carried a tray with two cups of coffee, placed it on the table, and then quickly fled the living room as if her life depended on it.
She eavesdropped on Chen Yu and Harley's conversation from the corner for a bit, found they were talking about things at Hogwarts School, and quickly went upstairs.
"How was it? What were those two little monsters talking about?"
Vernon Dursley's face was still anxious and pale, and his breathing was rapid. Clearly, the fright Chen Yu had given him hadn't completely worn off.
Petunia gently patted Vernon Dursley's back to calm him down, then recounted what she had just heard in the living room: "I saw them eating and chatting. Their conversation was all about random things from classes at school. It didn't seem like anything special."
"Eating? What were they eating?"
"It seemed to be snacks from the magical world."
"Snacks? Snacks from the magical world?"
Dudley, who was listening to his parents' conversation, his eyes lit up. While his parents were discussing and suspecting the evil purpose of the Little Wizards' visit, too preoccupied to notice him, Dudley quietly slipped away from Vernon and Petunia.
Then he peeked into the living room.
Dudley was very curious about snacks from the magical world.
He especially wanted to know how magical snacks differed from the snacks he usually ate.
This curiosity had already outweighed his fear of the evil Little Wizards his parents spoke of in their conversation.
Watching Harley eat the cauldron cake bite by bite and the snacks on the table, he drooled with envy.
"Harley, who is that person?"
As soon as Dudley poked his head out, Chen Yu saw him.
His chubby head topped with a thick mane of blonde hair was very conspicuous.
Chen Yu naturally knew about Dudley.
Dudley Dursley, The Dursley Family's 'silly' son.
A fat, arrogant, often bullying Harry, spoiled by his parents, adolescent little chubby kid.
Chen Yu knew he was just a child spoiled by his parents.
Dudley's values were not yet established, and coupled with his parents' attitude towards Harry, he subconsciously felt that bullying Harry was normal.
Chen Yu understood, but he didn't have much affection for such a child, spoiled by his parents and developing into a problematic kid.
However, as long as the problematic kid didn't 'problem' him directly, Chen Yu wouldn't dislike him too much.
"My cousin Dudley, my aunt and uncle's precious son."
Harley merely introduced Dudley's identity and said nothing more.
Harley was also a bit confused about this cousin who used to bully her often but whose attitude had changed a bit since yesterday.
Chen Yu looked at Dudley, who was already drooling and staring blankly, and suggested to Harley: "Do you want to let him come over and eat snacks with us?"
If these were her own snacks, Harley would definitely refuse. She still remembered Dudley snatching her snacks in the past.
But these were snacks Chen Yu brought, and the decision was in Chen Yu's hands. Harley knew who was in charge, so after saying "whatever," she continued to devour the snacks in front of her.
Hearing Harley say 'whatever,' Chen Yu waved Dudley over.
Dudley saw that he had been discovered, but he wasn't flustered at all. He walked right over, his eyes fixed on the pile of snacks on the table.
He's a kid, it's normal to not be able to resist the temptation of snacks.
"Hello, I'm Dudley Dursley, Harley's cousin. Can I have some of these snacks?"
Before Chen Yu could answer, Dudley's paw involuntarily reached for the table.
Chen Yu looked at the somewhat impolite Dudley, frowned slightly, and took out his wand to block Dudley's eager little chubby hand.
Seeing the wand in Chen Yu's hand, Dudley immediately covered his backside, a look of terror in his eyes. He clearly remembered when Hagrid had given him a pig's tail.
Although he had been given anesthetic when the pig's tail was removed, the pain after the anesthesia still kept Dudley from sitting down for a week.
"You're Dudley? I heard Harley say her cousin often bullies her. That must be you, right?"
The wand Chen Yu revealed immediately snapped Dudley out of his gluttony. Hearing Chen Yu bring up his past bullying of Harley, and fearing he would grow a pig's tail again, Dudley quickly defended himself: "I was wrong before, but this time when Harley came back, I actually offered her the guest bedroom!"
Chen Yu's gaze shifted from Dudley to Harley. Seeing Harley nod, he knew that Harley was no longer living in the cupboard under the stairs.
Chen Yu was a bit surprised by Dudley's change. When Harry was still a boy, Dudley had always bullied Harry. But when Harry became a girl, Dudley actually offered to let Harley live in the guest bedroom. This was something Chen Yu hadn't expected.
Since Dudley had changed, Chen Yu continued: "These are gifts I brought for Harley. If you want to eat them, you need Harley's permission."
Hearing Chen Yu's words, Dudley swallowed hard at the magical snacks on the table, looking at Harley with pitiful eyes, hoping Harley would share some with him: "I was wrong before, but I promise I won't bully you anymore, Harley..."
Looking at the pitiful Dudley, who was desperate for snacks, and hearing Dudley's repeated assurances, Harley's heart softened. She agreed to Dudley's request to share the snacks, slowly nodding.
Seeing Harley nod, Dudley impatiently picked up the fizzing whizbees closest to him and began to lick it.
"You're eating fizzing whizbees. It will lift your feet off the ground, raising your body a few inches from the floor, and it can also make you a bit smarter."
If not for Chen Yu's explanation, the sudden levitation would have caused Dudley to panic, but with Chen Yu's prior warning, Dudley was thrilled to see himself actually floating a few inches off the ground.
Harley, however, was full of questions. fizzing whizbees could make people smarter?
How did she not know that?
Harley didn't understand the joke about "two feet off the ground, virus shut down, smart IQ reoccupying the high ground," thinking Chen Yu was playing a prank on Dudley, so she didn't explain.
Instead, she quietly watched Dudley giggle to himself.
After Dudley finished the fizzing whizbees, he impatiently grabbed another snack, wanting to see what fun things the next magical snack held.
Dudley unzipped the chocolate frog packaging. A chocolate-colored frog 'croaked' and jumped out of the box, landing right on Dudley's face.
The sudden splat on his face startled Dudley, and he involuntarily let out a cry of "Ah!"
"What you're holding now is a chocolate frog. It's made of chocolate and tastes good. Although chocolate frogs will hop after being enchanted, they can only hop once or twice, so there's no need to be so scared."
Dudley quickly took the chocolate frog off his face, staring at the struggling chocolate-colored frog in his hand. Hearing Chen Yu say it tasted good, he closed his eyes and chose to gobble it down in one bite.
The rich chocolate flavor instantly made Dudley fall in love with this food.
"Every chocolate frog comes with a card of a famous wizard. Many Little Wizards like to collect these cards."
Dudley took out the card that came with the chocolate. Chen Yu saw it was another Dumbledore card and instantly lost interest.
Although Chen Yu had no interest in collecting cards, he already had over a dozen Dumbledore cards, so many he wanted to throw them away.
"This is Dumbledore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts, the greatest wizard of this century. You can keep it."
Dudley read Dumbledore's achievements on the card word by word, then happily put it in his pants pocket.
Watching Dudley's reaction made Harley think of her first time eating magical snacks on the train, and she burst out laughing... Meanwhile, Petunia and Vernon were discussing how to kick Chen Yu out. As they talked, they realized something was wrong in the room—their precious son was missing!
Feeling anxious, they heard their precious son's exclamation from the living room. Thinking Dudley was hurt, they rushed into the living room in a panic.
"Let go of my son! What's..."
Vernon Dursley charged ahead, shouting into the living room. Before he could finish the words "come at me," he saw a peaceful scene in the living room. His son, Harley, and that incredibly strong, mysterious Little Wizards were all sitting around the table, eating snacks together.
Petunia also rushed in and was stunned to see her son.
Her son was holding and biting into a chocolate frog, chocolate crumbs falling onto his clothes.
This didn't look like he was hurt at all.
Seeing that Petunia and Vernon had both arrived, Chen Yu wiped away the food residue from the corner of his mouth.
Chen Yu took out a golden gift box he had prepared. Opening it, he saw over a dozen gold bars arranged inside.
"Since you're all here, I'll be direct. Actually, I came this time to apologize. After all, Harley became like this because she used my magical item. This is a small token of my deep apologies."
Looking at the dozen gold bars in the box Chen Yu pulled out, Petunia's eyes almost turned into the shape of money.
Seeing Petunia's gaze, Chen Yu knew The Dursley Family was about to be dealt with.
Paving the way with money truly was wisdom passed down by ancestors from ancient times to the present.
