Traveling Through The Heavens, I Am The Avada Sword Master

Chapter 156: Prepare to leave

Seeing that Hulk disliked brandy, Chen Yu replaced it with lower-proof butterbeer.

When Hulk saw Chen Yu pull out a new wooden barrel from seemingly nowhere, he scratched his head in confusion.

But he didn't ask much. After taking the barrel Chen Yu offered, he pulled out the cork and sniffed it.

Smelling that the liquor in this barrel wasn't as strong as the last, he tentatively took a sip.

A rich and sweet flavor spread across Hulk's tongue.

The bitterness of the beer was completely neutralized by the rich aroma of the butter, while the greasiness of the butter was suppressed by the refreshing scent of the beer.

The complementary sweet taste instantly conquered Hulk's taste buds.

“This is delicious, Hulk likes it!”

Stars appeared in Hulk's eyes again. He excitedly stood up and chugged the large barrel of butterbeer.

The wooden barrel, which was half a person's height in the eyes of an ordinary person, was like an oversized beer mug in Hulk's hands, and he finished the butterbeer in a few gulps.

After finishing a barrel of butterbeer, Hulk looked at Chen Yu with longing eyes, showing that he wanted more.

He was like a child who had just eaten a cream cupcake for the first time, looking eagerly at Chen Yu, hoping for another piece.

“It’s boring to just drink. Hulk, do you want to play a game? Hulk, have you ever played Gobang?”

Chen Yu felt that teasing Hulk dryly was uninteresting, so he decided to play a game with him.

“Gobang?”

Hulk clearly didn’t know what Gobang was.

“Come, I’ll teach you; it’s very simple.”

Chen Yu pulled out his wand, used Transfiguration to turn the stones on the ground into distinct black and white pieces, and transformed the ground into a chessboard. He gestured for Hulk to sit down and enthusiastically explained to him.

“See the intersecting horizontal and vertical lines on the ground? We each take pieces of one color. If you place five of your pieces in a row, you win.”

“Horizontally, vertically, or diagonally—as long as five pieces of the same color are connected, it’s a victory.”

A few minutes later.

Chen Yu asked again, “How is it? Simple, right, Hulk? Do you understand?”

Hulk, holding a black piece, scratched his head and nodded, half understanding.

“Alright then, whoever loses drinks, no backing out!”

Hulk nodded, “Understood, Hulk gets it!”

Hulk was also very excited to play this kind of game for the first time in his life.

Chen Yu rubbed his hands, eager to enjoy the intellectual superiority.

Ten seconds later.

Chen Yu proudly connected his white pieces in a line: “Hulk, you lost, drink!”

“Hulk lost!”

Although Hulk was happy to drink butterbeer, he also wanted to win a round.

“Next time Hulk will win!”

Fifteen seconds later.

Hulk roared, slamming his hand on the ground, not only sending the pieces flying but also making Chen Yu, sitting across the board, feel as if he had been thrown back.

True to his word, Hulk immediately picked up the nearby wooden barrel and chugged it down with a “thump ~ thump ~ thump ~”.

Although Hulk drank butterbeer again, a hint of displeasure began to rise deep within him.

He wanted to win once.

“Again!”

Twenty seconds later.

Chen Yu proudly tossed a white piece onto the board and said to Hulk, “Hey, I won again!”

Hulk stared at the white pieces diagonally connected in a line on the chessboard, lost in thought.

He suddenly slammed the ground again and argued, “It must… it must be your pieces that are powerful! Let’s switch!”

“Okay!”

Fifteen seconds later.

Seeing the black pieces connected in a line again, Hulk immediately jumped up, furiously beating his chest like a chimpanzee, and grabbed a large tree nearby, throwing it into the distance.

Chen Yu saw Deadpool still hiding in the tree and was about to tell Hulk to put him down, but before he could speak, he saw the tree and Deadpool on it being thrown into the distance by Hulk.

With Hulk's strength, it would take Deadpool some effort to get back.

However, Deadpool's lingering words before flying off, “Such a hateful feeling, I will definitely be back!” made Hulk a little confused.

Hulk looked up at the sky, scratched his head, and seemed to have heard something when he was venting earlier.

“Chen Yu, just now, did someone speak?”

Chen Yu shrugged indifferently, “Don’t worry about it, it’s nothing major. Come on, let’s continue playing chess!”

Anyway, Deadpool couldn't die. As long as he didn't happen to fall into a volcano or get stuck when landing, Deadpool would definitely swim back very quickly.

After Hulk again “thump ~ thump ~ thump ~” finished a barrel of butterbeer, he said unwillingly, “Hulk will definitely win!”

Seeing Hulk drink so fiercely, Chen Yu also felt a bit thirsty.

Chen Yu took out a small bottle of butterbeer, took a light sip, and said to Hulk, “Alright, we shall see.”

The two continued to play chess.

Every time Hulk lost, he would vent his frustration on the ground.

But each time he vented, he cleverly avoided Chen Yu.

Looking at the messy surroundings and the piled-up empty wooden barrels, Hulk finally collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

Although butterbeer has a lower alcohol content, one shouldn't drink it as recklessly as Hulk did.

He pulled out his wand from his backpack, used Reparo to restore the surroundings to their original state, and then said to Deadpool, who was hiding in the distant bushes, “Come out, Hulk is asleep. I didn’t realize you would be afraid of Hulk.”

Deadpool emerged from the bushes, a bird's nest still perched on his head, with several chirping, hungry chicks inside.

He put the bird's nest back in the bushes, then complained to Chen Yu, “BOSS, you’re wrong. I’m not afraid, I just hate him.”

“What I hate most are warriors like Hulk, with their thick skin, long health bars, and immense strength.”

“I can slash them once, and their skin doesn’t even break, but if they punch me, I’ll owe two health bars.”

Then Deadpool crossed his two index fingers, forming an “X”: “BOSS, you don’t know, Hulk just threw me at least ten miles away, ten miles! My waist almost broke running back.”

“You watch Hulk here. I’m going to Banner’s lab to see the extent of the damage. There hasn’t been any movement for so long, so I guess nothing major happened.”

Looking at the unconscious Hulk, and realizing he hadn't transformed back into Dr. Banner while drunk, he regretfully gave up on trying to extract Hulk's blood.

Chen Yu had thought that Hulk would directly transform into Dr. Banner after getting drunk. If Dr. Banner was also in a drunken state, then he could secretly steal a little blood from Dr. Banner without anyone knowing, to feed the chicks in the Serenitea Pot and use them as sacrifices for the God Warrior.

Just as Deadpool said, Dr. Banner in Hulk form had thick skin, and ordinary needles couldn't penetrate him. It would probably require needles made of Adamantium or Vibranium to get through.

Even using Sectumsempra, he could only cut a small wound on Hulk. If he increased the magic output, the intense pain would directly wake Hulk up.

Don't ask Chen Yu how he knew; if you ask, it's because he secretly tried it once or twice when Hulk went berserk on the island before.

Previously, when Hulk went berserk, he used a projection to knock Banner's soul out of his body. After Hulk turned into Dr. Banner, Dr. Banner immediately sobered up, giving him no chance to draw blood.

Once Hulk transforms back into Dr. Banner, drawing blood is easy, but Dr. Banner is very wary of his own blood. Except for drawing some blood for experiments when researching serums, he is usually cautious about all blood-drawing attempts.

He was afraid that his blood would create another Abomination.

Forget it, if he can't draw blood, then he can't. He'll go to Dr. Banner's lab to check it out.

Entering through the hole made by the giant green rat, Chen Yu arrived at Dr. Banner's laboratory.

Inside the lab, various experimental instruments were scattered everywhere.

It seemed these instruments had been heavily damaged by the green rats or Hulk.

Looking at the broken and twisted high-end equipment, Chen Yu didn't plan to restore them to their original state immediately. Instead, he meticulously searched for any reagent bottles with blood labels.

Diligence pays off. In a cabinet that had fallen but remained largely intact, Chen Yu found several vials labeled with Banner's blood.

He counted roughly, there were thirteen of them.

One reagent could create one large green rat, so these dozen or so reagent tubes were enough to satisfy Chen Yu's need for sacrificial summoning of the God Warrior.

And in the severely deformed cabinet next to it, glass shards and labeled blood were all mixed together.

Chen Yu took out nine test tubes and put them in his backpack, then used Transfiguration to conjure nine identical-looking reagents.

Then, considering that Dr. Banner might later discover something was wrong with the blood in the reagents.

Chen Yu decided to knock over this cabinet. Watching the cabinet fall and the glass reagents shatter on the floor, Chen Yu nodded with satisfaction.

This way, even if Dr. Banner tidied up the room later, he wouldn't notice that he had taken nine reagents.

Later, he would just blame it on Hulk or the green rats, and everything would be fine.

Chen Yu continued deeper into the lab, passing through another room.

The equipment displayed here had a bit of a biochemical laboratory feel to it.

Chen Yu saw incubators, cryogenic chambers, and other high-end equipment used for cultivating mutated organisms.

Above the biochemical incubation chamber was a cylindrical transparent glass, convenient for experimenters to observe biological development. The interior was very sturdy, and according to Tony, it could withstand the impact of a large truck.

Below was a row of buttons, which Chen Yu glanced at twice before losing interest.

Turning around, he saw two broken incubation chambers. Needless to say, one was from the green rat that escaped earlier, and the other was the one Hulk gave him as a snack.

In the other incubation chambers, there were experimental subjects still in the state of white mice, green rats that had already begun to mutate, and giant green rats that had already fully developed.

They were all immersed in the green liquid of the incubation chambers, motionless.

Chen Yu looked towards the last giant cryogenic chamber.

Inside the giant cryogenic chamber lay a huge humanoid monster with pale green skin and a pockmarked body.

Its ears were webbed like an aquatic creature's, and its toes were unusually large.

Its skin was covered in tough scales, protecting it from external environmental disturbances.

It was even larger than Hulk, yet it was frozen in liquid nitrogen, as if in a cold slumber, unable to sense the outside world.

This frozen humanoid monster was none other than Abomination.

Chen Yu looked at it curiously again, then lost interest upon realizing the lab was only so big.

Dr. Banner’s lab usually didn’t allow outsiders.

Finding nothing interesting after a quick look around, he decided to leave.

Taking nine vials containing Banner's blood after a quick tour, this trip was truly fruitful.

Chen Yu happily walked out of the laboratory and saw a golden-red Iron Suit slowly descending from the sky.

As soon as Tony landed, he said to Chen Yu, “What happened here? Did Dr. Banner go berserk again? I rushed here as soon as I received the alert, hoping it’s not too late.”

“By the time you arrived, the yellow flowers would have already withered.”

Chen Yu said, pointing at the soundly sleeping Hulk.

At this moment, Deadpool was idly decorating Hulk, sticking a small red flower on Hulk's ear and drawing a turtle on Hulk's face with a watercolor pen he got from who knows where.

Tony glanced at the snoring Hulk, ignored Deadpool's actions, and decided not to bother with a fool.

He patted his briefcase and said to Chen Yu, “Looks like I’m a step late. I was going to try out my newly invented baby Iron Suit.”

A new baby Iron Suit?

Could it be that Tony had already invented the Hulkbuster armor?

Chen Yu looked at Tony in confusion: “A new Iron Suit?”

“I've added new external components to the Iron Suit. This set of components can enhance the armor's strength and endurance. In my design, its amplification is enough to allow the armor to fight Hulk one-on-one, but it's only a prototype now. I originally wanted to test its effectiveness, but it seems there's no use for it this time... By the way, how did you guys deal with Hulk this time?”

“Fed Hulk some beer…”

Chen Yu then gestured for Tony to look at the dozen or so empty wooden barrels behind Hulk.

“This is 'some'?” Tony felt a headache just looking at the dozen empty wooden barrels, recalling his past experiences with hangovers: “I hope Dr. Banner’s head is alright when he wakes up.”

After a dozen barrels, even an elephant would pass out.

“Don’t worry, it was all low-proof butterbeer. He should be fine.”

“The lower the alcohol content, the worse the hangover,” Tony said with lingering fear, then remembered something and asked Chen Yu in surprise, “By the way, how did you guys get Hulk drunk?”

After Chen Yu told Tony about playing chess with Hulk, he concluded, “Through our interaction, I feel that Hulk isn’t just about violence and destruction. He’s like a child who was just born, lacking proper guidance. With appropriate education, Hulk should be able to develop normal human thought.”

“Perhaps you’re right, but what teacher would dare to educate a monster who can easily flatten them into a pancake when angry?” Tony said, “And Dr. Banner believes that Hulk was created after he mutated from gamma radiation, and he’s always wanted to ‘cure’ himself. He doesn’t think raising Hulk is a fun thing to do.”

Tony walked into the hole in the wall, made by the green rat, and looking at the mess in the lab, he simply sighed, “Looks like I’ll have to spend money on new equipment again… Experiments really burn cash.”

Chen Yu glanced at the messy laboratory again, then suddenly said to Tony, “Since there’s nothing major here, I’ll leave it all to you. I think it’s time for me to go back.”

“Go where?”

Tony asked subconsciously, then realized Chen Yu was preparing to leave this world, so he asked, “When are you leaving?”

“Tonight, I suppose.”

“So sudden?”

“Yes.”
