With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods

Chapter 1067 - 1067: Cashing in favours

Since the dungeon battle was over, the only thing that was left was to settle the bet that they had made.

Of course, it wasn’t as if Lin Fan could just request whatever he wanted from the five dungeon cores.

He had asked them for a favour, but it had been set as a reasonable favour that wasn’t considered harmful for the dungeon cores to accept.

Still, the dungeon cores looked nervous when they were planning to settle this matter.

The rest of the dungeon cores from Haku’s fanclub that had been watching didn’t disperse either. They all remained here as if they wanted to see just what Lin Fan would request from these five dungeon cores.

Though there was a different reason why they didn’t leave as well.

After all, Haku was still here as well.

As the Haku fanclub, it was only natural that they would want to spend as much time as possible near their idol.

However, Haku was here for a different reason.

“If you dare do anything to hurt my little sister with these requests, I’ll end you here and now.”

The way that she acted was almost as if she was some kind of fierce mother in law that was protecting her daughter. Though Lin Fan could also tell that she was being serious about this.

If he actually did anything that would hurt Rokuko, then Haku might attack him here and now.

However, it wasn’t as if the favours that he had to ask were anything bad.

“Are you related to the Kalos Empire?” Lin Fan asked all of a sudden.

The five dungeon cores were taken aback when they heard this since this was something that they hadn’t expected to be asked.

The Kalos Empire was something on their continent, it wasn’t something on the cultivation continent that Lin Fan was on. So it didn’t make sense that Lin Fan would bring up something like this.

It was only Haku who slightly knitted her brows when she heard this, but she didn’t say anything on this matter.

The five dungeon cores took a while to come back to their senses, but they didn’t say anything right away. Instead, they looked at Haku as if they were wondering if it was alright with her for them to answer this question.

Haku didn’t reveal any reactions at first, but then she gave a slight nod as if giving her approval.

It was only then that one of the dungeon cores said, “We have some relations with the Kalos Empire. It isn’t as if it’s deep enough that we could be considered part of the Kalos Empire, but we certainly have made a few deals with them.”

Lin Fan gave a simple nod in response since this was what he had already expected.

This was something that wasn’t hard to figure out in the first place since there was plenty of information about this on the dungeon core forums.

Dungeon cores grew stronger the more DP that they obtained and there were many different ways to obtain DP. However, the best way to obtain DP was to use the power of the humans.

The humans had a large population and occupied a large part of the continent, it was impossible to avoid the humans.

That was why in most cases, the dungeon cores had some kind of relationship with one or more of the large powers among the humans.

In Haku’s case, it was establishing an entire empire and using that as her DP farm.

But for these lower tier dungeon cores that weren’t as strong as her, it was only natural that they would work with some of the other powers to earn DP.

There were even dungeon cores that worked under the empires of the magic continent since that was the best way to earn DP.

That wasn’t the case for these five dungeon cores.

These five dungeon cores were guild masters of the Adventurer’s Guild, an organization that Haku had created to make it easier for dungeon cores to cooperate with humans.

Adventurers had the job of clearing out monsters, which meant that they had jobs of clearing out dungeons.

So as the guild masters of their branches, they were able to create towns around their dungeons which generated DP for them. All that they had to do was provide some rewards for those that cleared the dungeon.

It was just like what Lin Fan and Rokuko were doing with their dungeon.

Though the Adventurer’s Guild was an organization that was separate from the countries that they resided in, that didn’t mean that there was no interaction between the two.

In the end, it was impossible for an organization to be completely separate from the locals of the land that they occupied. They needed resources from the people that lived in those lands or else they would starve to death.

So in the end, there was a need to connect to the locals and the ones that ruled the locals.

In the case of the five dungeon cores, that was the Kalos Empire.

That was why they had a cooperative agreement with the Kalos Empire, the same as what each branch manager of a branch of the Adventurer’s Guild would agree to.

This was all stuff that Lin Fan had learned from the dungeon core forums.

It turned out that there was quite a bit of information on the dungeon core forums, it was just that he never went through those forums before. After all before this, his focus was on the cultivation continent and the matters of the Mu Empire and the Love Sect.

But now that the magic continent wanted to do something on the cultivation continent, there was no way that Lin Fan could stay out of this matter. He had to learn more about the magic continent before they invaded the cultivation continent.

Other than that, there were some things that did interest Lin Fan on the dungeon core forums.

There were things that he didn’t think about, but they did help him solve a few questions that he had about dungeon cores in general.

It seemed that in the future, he really had to read this dungeon core forum a bit more to see if he could learn more.

But for now…

“I just want to ask you to do a few things for me in the Kalos Empire. It won’t be that bad, it’ll just be a few simple things.” Lin Fan said with a smile on his face.

However, it didn’t seem like anyone was buying this act from Lin Fan.

The way that they looked at him made it clear that they were suspicious of him.

They thought that he had to have some ulterior motives for this.

Or rather, there were things that he wanted to accomplish with these favours.

Only there was no telling if these favours would actually be good or bad for the dungeon cores. That was why none of them dared to agree to these favours before actually hearing some details about them.

Then when they did hear the details…

“This is treason, you know that.” That was the answer that the five dungeon cores came up with at the same time.

“It’s not treason, it’s just doing a few things in the Kalos Empire. It might hurt them a bit, but they’ll be fine in the long term.” Lin Fan calmly replied without even batting an eye.

They just looked at Lin Fan with a strange look before turning to look at Haku.

After all, this matter would be related to Haku and her Laver Empire.

If they went through with this, then it would also influence the Laver Empire since these two were the biggest powers on the magic continent.

Haku hadn’t said a single thing during this entire time.

She just had a look on her face as if she was debating this matter.

But in the end, she didn’t bother looking at the dungeon cores that would be the most affected by this decision. Instead, she turned to look at Rokuko as if she was thinking about something that was related to her.

The look on her face became a bit strange as she looked at Rokuko, but eventually she turned to look at the five dungeon cores and said, “Do the favour for him. This is what you agreed on, so you have to fulfil your promise.”

There were strange looks that appeared on the faces of the dungeon core.

However, since it was their beloved Haku that was asking this of them…

“Alright, we’ll do it.” The dungeon cores said even though there was a clear unwilling tone to their voices. It really sounded like they would do anything other than this for her, but they really didn’t have a choice.

Once this was agreed on, Haku turned back to Lin Fan to say, “How certain are you that this will work?”

Lin Fan was surprised to hear this as he didn’t think that Haku would support him in this matter, but for her to ask this question…

But after thinking about it, he said, “Does your Laver Empire want to benefit from this? It would make sense since you have this information ahead of time, but it won’t be that easy. If you make a mistake, you’ll be the one that they blame.”

A faint smile appeared on Haku’s lips before she said, “That’s why I want to invite you to come over and watch over things for me. Since this is your scheme, you would know it best.”

This was different from the Haku that I knew.

This sly side of her…it was clear that she was the empress of the Laver Empire.

This was the ruler that built the Laver Empire into the biggest empire on the magic continent.

It was just…

“If only I could, but it’s too bad that I can’t.”

“I have a way.” Haku said to my surprise.
